Gozo

Gozo is a small islands forming part of the Maltese archipelago. It can be reached by an enjoyable 20 minutes ferry ride from Cirkewwa Malta. Gozo offers its visitors a more relaxing vibe than that of its sister island of Malta. The Gozo community is more focused on the farming industry and thus the countryside is richer, greener and vaster. Also the coastline is spectacular varying from rough cliffs to beautiful red sand beaches. The unspoilt country and the all round fantastic scenery makes it an ideal place for a walking holiday. Another main attraction of Gozo is scuba diving. The diving possibilities in Gozo vary from wreck dives to shore dives. The most popular of them being the inland sea dive of Dwejra. Food in Gozo is also a delight with a number of small family restaurants spread through the island. The type of food served is mainly Mediterrainean with a small minority of Chinese and Indian . Overall Gozo is a great place for a day trip or a short trip of 2-3 days. Regarding accommodation one can take the opportunity to spend his days in a typical farmhouse. These are usually luxuriously finished and most of them boast a private indoor or outdoor pool.

Weddings in Gozo

Gozo weddings are becoming increasingly popular with time especially the Irish, Canadian and German market. The relaxed and quite lifestyle is what attracts these brides and groom to be to choose Gozo over the more hectic lifestyle of Malta. When booking a Gozo wedding it is recommended that you stay in Gozo for at least two days before the wedding and stay for another two days after the wedding. Getting married in Gozo in a private farmhouse is an option however generally it is not highly recommended for two reasons. First the venue needs to be approved by the wedding registrar and secondly the catering facilities available on site might not be adequate for a wedding. We generally recommend that you speak to your wedding planner before booking your Gozo wedding. Remember you only get married once and a wedding planner in a destination wedding is generally a good investment.

Feedback from some of our clients who had their wedding in Gozo

Jana and Cliff Simply wonderful. The food was A class while the service was impeccable. The country views which we could enjoy from our Gozo wedding venue were second to none. We danced the night away under the stars.

Frank and Judy – In Gozo you feel like you moved 20 years back in time. Yet despite the backward feel most things are excellent and no exception was our wedding. We hired an old Maltese bus to the wedding venue which was great fun. Then we had our civil ceremony in a traditional Gozitan decorated estate with country and sea views. Afterwards we parties and danced till dawn. A great experience and sincere gratitude to our wedding planner who carried out everything to perfection.

Jesabelle and Simon – Far beyond anything that I had expected. Great value for money, great service and great food. If you are planning a destination wedding you should seriously consider Gozo
